Jersey have always been my favorite also. However, I have always loved the smell of both manure and sileage, both of which instantly remind me of Vermont and my childhood here. Cows are awesome... except when they break fence, as several of mine did this morning....
Not particularly pleasant, but only lasts a day because it dries out and/or soaks into the ground quickly, absorbing valuable nutrients and even some of that evil CO2...
All those who want to live near a public sewer treatment plant, raise your hands...lol. Yuck!
I grew up with a cow pasture just beyond my back yard. I disliked the odor of cow manure, but personally loved the smell of sweet cow breath, as I fed long blades of grass to my favorite, brown Jersey cow. Lovely animals.

Exactly!! That is why I will focus on cows: they are popular, have been lied about, and people understand the issues easily.... :)
