Retired NH Trooper here. Started out with Vermont State Police the first 3 years. Worked in St. Johnsbury, a relatively conservative area. Always thought Vermont was a great state. Beautiful landscape, great people and lots to do. All for naught because Burlington and Chittendon County rule the roost (maybe I’m wrong about the county). Left for greener pastures and, so far NH has avoided the rot that has so destroyed VT government.
I moved to Northern Vermont 23 years ago for my wife -to-be who lived in the Redrocks section of Burlington. I t was a nice place then. Church St was fun and enjoyable to walk and go to the fun restaurants. We moved to Huntington in a rural area and it is a good place to live. My wife has since passed and Burlington has turned into a ****hole! I won't go near Church St. Why would I? The Progressives think they are progressive, but really they are destructive and think they deserve the 'silver spoon'. This guy sure looks emblematic like a educational professor, yeah right!! A previous comment says it all! 'Burlington... the San Francisco of New England!' And guess what, Progressives? That isn't a compliment!!
Burlington Vt.
The San Francisco of New England.
If you give it away, they will come.........and multiply.

Look at old Sam there…. Doesn’t he just look the part of an esteemed professor???
UVM is emblematic of the city it’s located in. What a sick joke.
I personally know many long time Burlington residents that keep voting “progressive” still to this day. You reap what you sow.
