As one who has been victimized by the judicial system used to punish those who would stand up to the government and say, no more unconstitutional acts, like myself after my 2002 US Senate campaign for Colorado, I personally have also been wrongfully convicted for "Influencing A Public Official" back in 2004. I consider it an honor to have done so, standing up against the evil of the judicial system, with absolutely no evidence at all against me, which did not matter as the Judge and powers who wanted me convicted to bring me a felony, concocted the terminology that the judges "FELT" threatened and therefore I was guilty in the Appeal process and became the reason for denying the appeal, at the Colorado Court of Appeals, and afterwards denied by the US Supreme Court to be heard in 2008, while I was still imprisoned. This was the first time in the history of the United States of America that someone in a trial was found guilty because of "feelings", as the written court pleadings I submitted to both courts showed no "Influencing of a Public Official by threat of violence", or any other means of coercion. There was written word suggesting the charge at all. Calling for an arrest warrant for anyone, is the time honored legal remedy for every American when they have been wronged, including a judge, even a sitting President. The First Amendment right to have Redress of Grievance heard by a court was not allowed by those courts. They filed new charges against me and buried my pleadings except to say that I committed a crime of threatening two judges with violence, by filing them. That is not a crime of violence and was not imminent and never took place. I am proud to stand with President Trump as a wrongfully convicted felon, twice for the same concocted so called "crime", and I will be voting for President Trump a third time for President of the United States of America. Google Rick Stanley Activist. Yes, this happened. They wanted to make an example of me for standing up for 1st and 2d Amendment rights. The convictions still stand today 20 years later after I served the 6 year prison sentence completed 100% with earned time deducted in the prison system of Colorado. May God bless America and I pray for Trump to continue to be delivered from the evil of those who want to destroy the rights in the Constitution that Americans have fought so hard for, since the Declaration of Independence was written and declared by our forefathers in 1776. This is a nation of heroes and we will not be defeated by the small minds and actions of evil men and women of all the groups of perversion arrayed against us to destroy our God given rights under the US Constitution. The state is not our God and will be brought to it's knees by WE THE PEOPLE, and we will arise again, our rights restored and respected by the government that will be brought to it's knees, and put in it's proper place serving the people once again.

Thank you for using your law training to break this down in some detail.

But -- if we zoom out and dumb down to a totally ordinary lay person perspective... can't we just ignore all the bullshit lawfare against Trump as total nonsense and distracting noise?

George W Bush and Dick Cheney started a torture program and a global "War on Terror" that killed 5-6 million innocent Middle Easterners over 20+ years. Obama surged the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and extended wars to several more countries, committed drone strikes that killed 90% innocent people (including US citizens and minors without due process), prosecuted more gov't whistleblowers using the heinous Espionage Act than all previous Presidents combined, turned Libya into a failed state run by terrorist warlords with open air slave markets, prosecuted dirty wars in Syria and Yemen that have been humanitarian disasters and caused refugee crises, and so on. Trump didn't start any new wars but he made ongoing wars worse, and took big risks like potentially starting war with Iran over his drone-killing of Sulemani. Trump only paused a weapons shipment to Ukraine (for which he was impeached the first time), but still delivered the weapons and contributed to where we are today facing WWIII and possible nuclear exchange with Russia. Joe Biden backed all of the Clinton-Bush-Obama-Trump wars and raised the ante to closer to nuclear doomsday than any time previously during the actual Cold War.

Mishandling classified documents? Paying hush money to a porn star through a lawyer and obscuring the bookkeeping? Who gives a shit?

All US Presidents in living memory are war criminals who should be tried for crimes against humanity along with most of the high-up people in their administrations. Why are we fooling around spending any time, attention, or emotional energy on Trump's salacious lawfare bullshit?

Josh, very well put! I strongly agree.

Lawfare: one set of rules for thee, no accountability for me.

An excellent review of the possibilities! No matter what, I intend to vote for the felon November 5th.

I don't believe he is a felon any longer -- the case clearly voids his convictions, whether or not that is ever officially ruled.

John, what about the statute of limitations issue and the secretive actual crime they wouldn't name? Did I miss something? Those were things folks were talking about at the trial. And can you explain to me in the simplest, child level terms why his accounting of payment to Daniels was illegal? And why hasn't anyone filed against the judge for misconduct since he made it clear he could not be impartial? I mean anytime I look at this stuff I'm greatly perplexed and terrified of what are world looks like. Case in point your commenter above, Mr. Stanley. I was living in Colorado Springs at the time but I never heard of him. But I was busy working and paid little attention to the news unless it was about wildfires.

Sometimes I have this overwhelming desire to "go home". Like a homesick preteen on a first sleepover. But I don't know where "home" is. It finally occurred to me that "home" meant my innocence. I want my innocent worldview and positive mindset back. I want the illusion that "everything is alright" back. But then I have grass to mow and dishes to wash and compost to turn... and I just get busy and keep going, pushing aside the yearning and longing.

According to Strauss and Howe's book, we only have to get to 2033 or so (9 years) before the next Turning and life will improve. I just wonder how twisted that world will be.

And BTW, regardless of the statute of limitations issue, there was never a real case. Trump's mischaracterization of the payments did not impact its accounting or tax status. The Prosecution used them to argue election fraud, which was just the most absurd stretch I've ever seen, The judge is obviously corrupt, but their real target is the entire legal system, constitution and nation -- they want to be one-world government elites, not American citizens. And they must destroy our rights and power to achieve their ends. Live free or die.

The whole case was a shame, as anybody with half a brain could see. But the Trump decision utterly discredited the entire charade whether Bragg and the NY courts admit it or not. The Rule of Law is under assault by a cult that will believe ANYTHING for power and hate. And it is all crashing down on them. The 4th Turning must become a return to liberty in law, or the nation will perish.

I'm just stuck at: if the statute of limitations had passed, how did it make it to the court? If the court wouldn't even state the name of the crime... how is that allowed to stand? How is that entire district system not dismantled? That alone makes me walk away from anyone trying to have a "civilized discussion" from the left/dem/prog. Those facts should having been the complete STOP. This is completely off the rails. And yet it went on. And he was "found" guilty? The world is absurd.

1) Completely off the rails, and the world saw it. Trump raised money -- complete farce, and it failed. 2) Hunter's laptop, the Steel dossier, and open border policies are also completely off the rails, with similar effect. This is sabotage. Satanic?
