"Those charged with protecting our liberties are doing the opposite." 100%. Ignorance. Thank you John. You mentioned that Maine's laws favor small farmers; do you think that similar legislation will be promoted in Maine? Thank you for all you are doing to wake people up. Peace.
Most people live in a state of active denial. To face the reality of what is staring them in the face daily is too overwhelming. And most people are comfortable, and their rights have been infringed over the last 150 or so years incrementally. So, why get upset, they are comfortable. Thus, what one generation would find incomprehensible, the next sees as "normal". And that's where we are. Unless something catastrophic occurs to galvanize the majority, which I believe to be more right of center than "media" would have us believe, we will continue down this path until we are no better than the Soviet Union or Venezuela or some type situation. Look, when the September 11th attacks occurred, instead of rising to the occasion to fight the good fight, people sought safety and let their civil liberties go. When I talk to conservative people, they absolutely agree with me but will not do anything. They don't write their elected officials, don't wish to organize a protest or publicly denounce the left/liberal/progressive machine in any way shape or form. They just "want to be left alone". It won't be until the jackboots storm up their front yard and yank them out of their homes before they say anything and of course it will be far, far too late. So, in my humble opinion, it is all over except for the fat lady.
I wish your words stirred a Nathan Hale, Ethan Allen, John Paul Jones, or Kościuszko in our midst to make a stand. And, it is possible, that the events are soon to occur. But I am not holding my breath. We chose to stay in Vermont last year instead of selling and moving back west. Even though for us it means being behind enemy lines. My language and word choice may seem hyperbolic to some, but many out there know the real situation we currently are in.
I appreciate your words Mr. Klar. And I agree wholeheartedly.

It is our comforts that spell our doom. Too fearful to lose our "stuff," we will instead lose EVERYTHING.
