This is both true and false. It is definitely not back. Intimidation is rampant, and any requirement that an employee, rank and file, must sign a loyalty oath is an outright intimidation of speaking truth freely. Nor are whistleblowers protected. It may also be free speech to lie and issue insidious propaganda to undermine our country. So I defend free speech, and abhor intimidation of citizens and veiled verbal threats to their families.

I don't support infringements of free speech by either party, and recognize the threats of tyranny from both left and right. However, a loyalty oath to the Constitution for government servants is a longstanding tradition designed to preserve the Constitution. If you refer to FBI agents, I am not fully informed but if while in the Biden admin they violated the Constitution I see no reason why they should not be held to an oath of loyalty to their Commander in Chief -- our military are. I've heard nothing of threats to anyone's families, and agree that would be intolerable. Thanks for commenting. I have been shocked at the disinformation campaign undertaken by Biden et al -- on Twitter, Facebook, and other platforms, and now we see through USAID. No POTUS should support government regulation of speech or the media! This is a globalist coup we are revolting against.

"... However, a loyalty oath to the Constitution for government servants is a longstanding tradition designed to preserve the Constitution.". Yes John, on that we fully agree. Thank you for including this essential point.
