Tried to find the flag/birthday celebration but was surrounded by the no king/no brains crowd. We looked around for a group of patriots, but didn't recognize any possible candidates, so we made our way out of the scene, not trusting what those people are capable of. So many of the protest signs were stupid talking points that you hear all the time on MSM. I have relatives that even blame Trump for the MN shootings of the congress woman and her husband. They refuse to admit the violence always ends up coming from their side, fueled by NGO's and their paid agitators and MAGA impersonators. The TDS is strong in this state. Mass formation psychosis.
Sorry we missed you! I almost left at the beginning as well, we were so dwarfed by the hate-fest. I was impressed at the bravery of our coterie of Green Mountain patriots. The throngs of aging Lefties were often outrageous, crass, and toxic -- they were like bullies, safety in numbers. Some mocked that we had so few people -- being in the majority is not necessarily proof of being morally right. It reminded me of the Nazis, swelling in numbers and scoffing at the marginalized.
