While technology has its place, it rapidly becomes over-used and, as we have seen in the last 50+ years, obliterates the spiritual, intuitive and heart centred connection to the natural world. A drone cannot feel or communicate the Lumina natureae - the spontaneous light that comes from the spirit in nature; something which every farmer can read and interpret.

Nice article. I think the use of technology can attract younger generations to see farming as a viable and noble pursuit. The key word you used in the last paragraph is “sensible” which to me means stepping back and using human senses and knowing in rhythm with natures wisdom. Productivity is byproduct of of this relationship. Farms don’t need further indebtedness paying for excessive (easy) reliance on technology … but I am glad AI is showing what humans already new before chemical production became the norm.
