The USDA and HHS together develop dietary guidelines for Americans. The public comment period to voice your opinion about the 2025 proposed dietary guideline report ends on February 10. You can post your comments here.
The full dietary report is located here. The report contains a lot of information, but I know there are a lot of doctors, nurses, and health-conscious farmers and homesteaders subscribed here, and I’m confident many of you will chime in while there is still time!
Please share this request widely, so that Americans’ voices are heard! Do these new guidelines adequately warn people about the risks of high-sugar or high-salt foods? The dangers of obesity? What are the threats from glyphosate, food additives, and preservatives, or plastic packaging? YOU be the judge(s)!
I haven’t read and I don’t intend to. Listen to these evil clowns at your peril. Two weeks of trump isn’t going to undo 50 years of big pharma/big agriculture domination of drug and food administration. Everything the government says is corrupted and must be dismissed as false. When was the last time the government did anything that actually helped Americans? The mass poisoning of the population from the food we eat (and the drugs we take) is a self inflicted wound, ammunition courtesy of the FDA and McDonalds.
I tried to read it but gave up after a while. There's way too much DEI nonsense and confusing academic language. Not surprising since 17 women and a whopping 4 men made up the Advisory Committee. Lot's of PhDs on there (with no designation as to what those PhDs were in, ahem) but only two MDs. I made a quick comment to scrap the whole thing. Health Equity? Social Gender? Food Pattern Modeling? Gimme a break.
