Making the Case for Normalcy
The problem with the New Far Left’s push to unilaterally impose bizarre, unacceptable beliefs as “Truth” is that truths themselves are arrived at via civil discourse and reasoned, respectful discussion. As related herein, the opposite is the common theme of the new social justice “theories,” never established as anything more than theoretical, yet demanding absolute obedience and compliance without ever “making the case” why this should be so. This essay makes the case that the Left has demanded sweeping, radical changes in American society without bothering to persuade the rest of us of the good sense or scientific basis of such claims. More, this failure to persuade has been displaced by an intense compulsion. Using hate, blame, shame, and retribution, social justice “warriors” only make the case that they are toxic and cannot defend their absurdist views with reason.
