Claiming cows are an environmental threat has to be the dumbest lie ever told: it is surely the easiest to disprove. To the extent cows pollute, they are victims of anthropomorphic incarceration in Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOS) dependent on fossil fuels, GMO monoculture cropping using chemical applications, soil compaction, and reckless irrigation. These are all industrial human behaviors, of which cows remain clueless. America’s lawns are an industrial product too: how do they measure up beside cow farts?
