We need legislation that stipulates that new criminal penalties can only be introduced by Congress. Agencies need to be limited to what their branch is expected to do: execute legislation. We presently have a legal body that is so expansive that it is impossible to be aware of all laws and regulations that apply. This applies both to the individual and to the corresponding law enforcement officers. It inevitably leads to selective prosecution, which right now is very much skewed indeed towards discrimination dressed up as 'justice' or 'equity'.

To find the desired end of this over-criminalization agenda look to Madame Justin Defarge of The North. Life imprisonment and/or euthanasia for anything you might have thought about doing or saying. No criminal act necessary. Denounce your neighbor and a tribunal will do the rest. Even as it stands now I as sure that AI could find an infant in violation of one or several laws or regulations.
