I am writing to invite you to come hear Mary Holland, attorney and President of Children's Health Defense, speak here in Vermont at the Statehouse on April 10. She will be in room 10 from 1-3 PM, specifically to address H.61 -- the health choice bill.
I know Mary personally, and I've seen her speak several times. She is extremely passionate and knowledgeable. House Bill 61 provides “to recognize and to prohibit any interference with an individual’s rights to bodily autonomy, to make the individual’s own health care decisions, and to be free to accept or refuse any health or medical intervention, testing, treatment, or vaccine based on the individual’s own religious, conscientious, or personal beliefs.” Mary will address the importance of this legislation.
Please contact the House Committee on Human Services to encourage them to hear from Mary Holland when she comes to the Statehouse on April 10th. Invite them to attend Mary’s presentation in Room 10 from 1:00 – 3:00. They could also choose to have her testify in the morning so that they can talk with her about how other states are handling health choice issues, as well as any legal questions.
I hope you will be able to join us. If you can't make it for the daytime festivities, you can hopefully join us for the fun and community-building evening event. (Or, attend both!)
